PRINTMAKING

Hello.

I've been taking a printmaking course one evening a week for the past 10 weeks. I've loved every minute of it and have learned a lot - I had no idea how many different types of printmaking there are!
Since we only had 3 hours a week, we only managed to cover 2 different types of printmaking: lino cuts and intaglio.

Here are some of the images I've made:

Whippet - lino cut

Oyster mushrooms - lino cut

smoking in the park - intaglio

smoking in the park - lino cut and watercolour

on the bench - lino cut
BEARD - lino cut

singing in parc lafontaine - lino cut and watercolour
autumn leaves - lino cut

Check out these amazing images from Sigrid Rødli's Legendary Monsters project.

Autumn

Squash time!

watercolour, indian ink, pen

In the woods and by the sea

This summer I spent an incredible 3 months working on organic farms, hitchhiking, camping and bumbling around north Quebec and the Canadian Maritimes.
Lots of time in the woods, sleeping to the sound of coyotes howling, and by the windy sea.

One Fine Stay commission

Well, well, well.

It has been a while!
There's plenty more updates to come, but for the meantime here's a recent commission I completed for London / New York company One Fine Stay for their referral program.

What I bought... cont

Here are some more pieces from my sketchbook of 'what I bought.'... though I think 'what I ate' is more suitable, as food seems to be the only thing I buy.

Asparagus. watercolour. ink.

Red onion studies. Watercolour. crayon. ink.

Red onion 2.

Onions - thought they'd make a rather nice fabric / wallpaper design.
